Agria, who offer the UK’s only lifetime horse insurance, is proud to become our charity’s Lead Centenary Corporate Partner. Agria is supporting World Horse Welfare between 2025 and 2027 as we approach our centenary, when we will be celebrating 100 years of improving equine welfare in the UK and internationally.
Having previously supported our Annual Conference, Agria’s support will now extend to helping our UK rescue and rehabilitation work, through our four rescue and rehoming centres and 16 highly experienced Field Officers; our work with horse sport to improve welfare and strengthen sports’ social licence; and activities around the centenary celebrations in 2026 and 2027.
Agria’s support provides a significant boost in helping to protect the future of equine welfare and ensure the responsible and ethical involvement of horses in sport for generations to come.
In addition, Agria will have a key involvement in our charity’s events and campaigns throughout the partnership, and its employees will play a hands-on role too, volunteering at our farms.
Our Chief Executive Roly Owers said:
“As we enter the three-year run up to our centenary celebrations in 2027, we are delighted to welcome Agria as our Lead Centenary Corporate Partner. Agria’s support will make such a difference to our work, from rescuing and rehabilitating horses in the UK, to our work promoting the responsible involvement of horses across all levels of sport. We are united in our desire to see a future where all horses are treated with respect, compassion and understanding.”
CEO of Agria UK, Vicki Wentworth, said:
“Agria’s ethos has always been to help horses – and their owners – live their healthiest, happiest, most active and enjoyable lives – and we cannot overstate how much welfare matters to us.
“We care deeply about listening to our horses and sharing the accountability for their wellbeing. Agria is therefore so proud to be partnering with World Horse Welfare and supporting the invaluable work they do to for the welfare of our equine friends.”
