Founded in 1927, our approach to helping horses was based on four core principles, which we still hold today.

Together, we're creating better futures for horses. Discover how your support is helping to improve the lives of horses in the UK and around the world.

Because every horse matters, we make every pound count. For every pound donated, 73p goes directly towards improving horses' lives. The rest is invested in fundraising to ensure we can continue creating better futures for horses.

Our founder, Ada Cole, believed that every horse deserves respect, compassion and understanding. Today, her legacy continues to drive change for horses around the world.

From one determined woman taking a stand for horses in 1927 to a global movement today, we've been improving horses' lives for almost 100 years.

Over 30% of our team have worked for the charity for more than 10 years and many choose to donate to our work.

You are the lifeblood of our charity. Without your support we could not help the number of horses we do every year.
