Meet Penelope
Penelope was born at Hall Farm so she is a blank canvas who has only known kindness and respect in her short life. She is growing into a lovely young lady who is eager to learn. So far she has always been good to handle but she still requires an experienced handler to continue her education. Penelope is a sweet natured filly who gets on well with others and she makes a loyal friend. Penelope may have the potential to back to ride when she is older although this depends very much on how she matures and not before she is 5 years old. Her mother is 12.2hh and Penelope could reach a similar height but this is only an estimate as we have no information on her sire. At her expected height Penelope will have a maximum rider weight limit of 6 to 6.5 stones. We are equally happy for Penelope to remain a non-ridden companion and fulfil an important role
Important stuff
This horse is based at Hall Farm, where we’ve been managing a strangles outbreak in some of our horses. They have been screened using guttural pouch lavage (the gold standard test), completed a full course of strangles vaccinations, and spent time in quarantine in a green zone paddock. They are now available for rehoming as part of our phased return to normal activities.
Penelope could be worked in the future.
History
Penelope's pregnant mother was part of a prosecution case. Penelope was born at Hall Farm.
