Meet Cole

Cole's pregnant mother was one of 26 equines cruelly crammed into a lorry to be illegally exported out of the UK, probably destined for a slaughter house in Europe. As Cole was born at Hall Farm in June 2024 she really is a blank canvas who has only known kindness and respect in her short life. She is proving to be a very sweet natured little girl. As Cole is still so young, we are looking for a home with experience in handling young horses where she can continue her education. Cole certainly enjoys the company of other youngsters and mixes well with all in her herd. At this stage there is no apparent physical reason why Cole could not eventually become a ridden pony when she is older. Of course this could change in the future as she matures. Cole's adult height could be in the region of 14.0hh to 14.2hh although this is very much an estimate as her mother is only 12,2hh and we have no knowledge of her sire. At this expected height Cole will have a maximum rider weight limit of 9 to 9.5 stones. We are equally happy for Cole to remain permanently as a non-ridden companion where she can just enjoy kicking up her heels with like minded friends. Cole is sure to bring a lot of joy to any new home.

Important stuff

This horse is based at Hall Farm, where we’ve been managing a strangles outbreak in some of our horses. They have been screened using guttural pouch lavage (the gold standard test), completed a full course of strangles vaccinations, and spent time in quarantine in a green zone paddock. They are now available for rehoming as part of our phased return to normal activities.

Cole could be worked in the future.
