Meet Pursuit of Purpose
Pursuit of Purpose's time in our care has been supported by Retraining of Racehorses (RoR), the official charity for the welfare of horses who have retired from racing. Pursuit is a sweet natured mare who is generally good to handle. She is a genuine horse with a willing attitude. She enjoys the company of her friends in her herd and socialises well. Pursuit is looking for a home where she can just relax and enjoy being a horse during her golden years. Pursuit is not suitable to ride and is to be rehomed as a non-ridden companion only but this is a role where she will excel.
Important stuff
This horse is based at Hall Farm, where we’ve been managing a strangles outbreak in some of our horses. They have been screened using guttural pouch lavage (the gold standard test), completed a full course of strangles vaccinations, and spent time in quarantine in a green zone paddock. They are now available for rehoming as part of our phased return to normal activities.
Pursuit of Purpose can never be ridden or driven.
All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Pursuit of Purpose is not suitable to be worked.
History
Pursuit came into our care as a welfare concern. Her time in our care has been supported by Retraining of Racehorses (RoR), the official charity for the welfare of horses who have retired from racing.
