Meet Biscuit

Biscuit is a really lovely young man. He is quite a nervous pony who looks to his handler for reassurance. Once settled in a regular routine he becomes more confident and he is generally good to handle. Biscuit is sweet natured and seems to enjoy human attention. He also gets on well with others in his herd although he prefers to avoid large groups and stick to just one or two friends. Biscuit can share with geldings only as he sees himself as a babe magnet around mares and will become a nuisance. Biscuit is best suited to a small, quiet yard with a regular routine and experienced handler to give him confidence. Although not suitable to ride, Biscuit can provide a valuable role as a field companion to others.

Important stuff

Biscuit can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Biscuit is not suitable to be worked.

History

Biscuit was found in poor condition with very overgrown feet. The owner would have faced prosecution, but was never traced.
