Meet Myreton Dexter

Chatty man Dexter is now looking for his new home as a non-ridden companion. Little Dexter is well behaved in all ways, as well as with our vet and farrier. He can be a little wary of new people, but once he gets to know you, you become his best friend. Dexter can get a little fidgety when tied up as he is always wanting to see what is going on, but a good neck scratch can never go a miss, and it is his favourite part of the groom. Dexter has one speed and that is a need for no speed as he enjoys taking his time when coming in. He will however go up the gears when he is out and about playing with his friends in the field. Dexter gets along well with all his friends and can live with mares or geldings. He does gain weight easily, so he will be looking for field mates his size, who are also on restricted grazing. Myreton Dexter can never be ridden or driven.

All equines in our centres are regularly assessed by a team of experts including a vet, physiotherapist and farrier, and these assessments have found that Myreton Dexter is not suitable to be worked.

History

Dexter came into the farm alongside another Shetland after their owner asked for our help
